Here is a collection of custom ringtones that I have built for myself, some to use, and some just for the fun of building them. After building a few, I started to better understand what makes one ringtone better than another. The more repetitive a phrase, the more it sounds like a ringtone, and less like a song sample. Also, while it is just a matter of personal taste, bright and energetic ringtones tend to sound more like ringtones than soft subtle selections. Also, well-known pop/rock type tunes tend (in my opinion) to be more recognizable, and therefore more fun than lesser known pieces, such as jazz selections, which tend to have less of a following.

These are all less than 30 seconds long, and are in .mp3 format.

I hold no claims of ownership over the musical material contained in these ringtones. I have simply incorporated the material, with modifications, into a new artistic form.
